:

A Student Counselor and Office Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students, as well as the smooth operation and overall functioning of school and student life, in supporting the the mission of the school to disciple our students to delight, discern, and display the glory of God in Jesus Christ in every area of culture.

Student Counselor Roles Includes:

Student Counseling:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address personal, academic, and social concerns.
• Help students develop coping strategies and problem-solving skills.
• Support students in setting and achieving personal and academic goals.

Academic Guidance:

• Assist students in course selection, academic planning, and career exploration.
• Monitor and assess students' academic progress, and intervene when necessary.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students' academic success.

Crisis Intervention:

• Respond to and manage crises affecting students, such as emotional distress, bullying, or traumatic events.
• Collaborate with other school personnel, parents, and external agencies to provide necessary support during emergencies.

Office Assistant Role Includes:

• Answer phone calls
• Assist the Administrative Coordinator
• Support office staff with major events
• Assist with Admissions & Enrollment
• Troubleshoot with technological issues when needed
• Be comfortable with working in a team environment

Qualification

• Masters Degree in school counseling, counseling psychology, or a related field is preferred
• Field Experience in Biblical or Christian Counseling for at least 2 years.
• Must be a committed Christian attending an evangelical church
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and understanding towards students' individual needs
• Knowledge of educational principles and practices
• Bilingual in English and Korean preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
