Northwest Partners is looking for a Systems Administrator to support enterprise patching and vulnerability remediation efforts across a large, fast moving environment. In this role, you'll work through a steady backlog of remediation tickets, apply patches, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to keep systems secure and up to date. This is a hands on position for someone who enjoys solving problems, driving issues to resolution, and making a real impact on system reliability and security.
What You Will Do
Execute OS, application, and infrastructure patching across enterprise systems within defined maintenance windows
Work patch and vulnerability tickets from a centralized backlog, prioritizing by severity and business impact
Review vulnerability scan results and apply approved remediation steps (patches, config changes, mitigations)
Validate patches before deployment and confirm successful remediation afterward
Troubleshoot patch failures and escalate complex issues with clear technical context
Collaborate with security, engineering, and application teams to drive issues to resolution
Follow change management processes and maintain accurate documentation throughout the remediation lifecycle
Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to tools, workflows, or automation
What You Will Bring
3 5+ years of experience in systems administration, patching, or vulnerability remediation
Hands on experience with Windows patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation tools
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work through tickets independently
Familiarity with SCCM/MECM, Intune, WSUS, or similar enterprise patching platforms
Clear communication, solid documentation habits, and a collaborative mindset
A proactive approach to improving processes, reducing risk, and staying current on emerging vulnerabilities
