Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking an experienced and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a full-time opportunity with a respected healthcare organization located in Houston, TX (77071) .

About the Role:

This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will support physicians and clinical staff in delivering quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience in a primary care setting, and a commitment to exceptional patient service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform routine clinical tasks such as EKGs, lab tests, suture/staple removal, and dressing changes
* Record vital signs, patient histories, and assist with exams and screenings
* Manage prescription refill requests and provide patient education on medications and care instructions
* Collect co-payments, verify insurance, and reconcile daily charges
* Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments
* Maintain compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies, including communicating wait times

Qualifications:

* 3-5 years of experience as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant in a primary care setting - Required
* National certification (CMA or RMA) - Required
* Experience with Athena EMR - Strongly Preferred

Position Details:

* Location: Houston, TX 77071
* Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
* Pay: Starting at $20/hour (based on experience)
* Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
