Job Title: Welder and Fabricator Job Description

This Welder/Fabricator role is responsible for welding products and maintaining welding tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication tasks according to company standards.
• Maintain and operate welding tools and equipment efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work order routings.
• Layout parts using weld fixtures accurately.
• Ensure all welding work meets quality and production standards.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measures.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to understand and follow work order instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated skill level in wire feed (MIG) welding.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

Work in a fabrication and weld shop with flexible hours. Options include a 1st shift from 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays. Alternatively, the 3rd shift runs from 6pm-4:30am, Monday to Friday, or choose 12-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday to avoid working Fridays. A shift premium of $1.75 is available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ooltewah, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.25/hr.
