Job Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry to provide specialized care for patients requiring continuous cardiac and vital sign monitoring. This role involves assessing, monitoring, and managing patients with acute and chronic conditions while ensuring timely interventions based on telemetry readings.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment
  • Assess and manage patients with heart conditions, post-surgical recovery, respiratory distress, and other critical conditions
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments
  • Perform frequent assessments and document changes in patient conditions
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and the healthcare team to develop care plans
  • Respond promptly to cardiac arrhythmias, emergencies, and abnormal telemetry readings
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery strategies, and lifestyle modifications
  • Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, telemetry monitoring standards, and patient safety measures

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in telemetry, cardiac, or critical care nursing
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
  • Telemetry certification or Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring
  • Ability to recognize early signs of patient deterioration and intervene effectively
