Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Bellefontaine, Ohio

Start Date: 07-06-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 36 hours per week, weekend rotation possible

Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments on patients and reassess as per policy
• Assess and manage pain using appropriate techniques and educate patients/families
• Develop and revise plan of care based on patient response, evaluating daily for effectiveness
• Administer medications safely following the five medication rights
• Formulate and activate teaching plans based on identified learning needs
• Coordinate and supervise patient care, ensuring a safe environment
• Document all care according to standards and policies
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required
• Post partum and nursery experience required
• Active ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications (AHA) required
• Ohio RN license (or compact) required
• BSN degree preferred

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning
• Pain management techniques
• Medication administration and safety
• Patient education and documentation
• Labor and delivery, post partum, nursery care
• ACLS, BLS, NRP certification skills
