Inventory Associate Position Summary
We're looking for a detail-oriented and dependable
Inventory Associate to play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory and supporting efficient cannabis production operations for our client. In this hands-on position, you'll help ensure materials, packaging, and finished goods are properly tracked, organized, and available when needed.
Working closely with our clients Production and Inventory teams, you'll be responsible for inventory movement, system transactions, material staging, and inventory accuracy across multiple locations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, solving problems, and contributing to a fast-paced manufacturing environment where precision matters.
The successful candidate is proactive, highly organized, and committed to maintaining compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do: Inventory Management & Accuracy
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), packaging, and finished goods.
- Execute inventory transactions within ERP and compliance systems, including intake, transfers, adjustments, and waste tracking.
- Ensure physical inventory consistently aligns with system records.
- Investigate, report, and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Perform routine cycle counts and support physical inventory audits.
Production Support
- Stage and prepare materials to support daily production schedules.
- Ensure production teams have the correct materials, quantities, and allocation information.
- Assist with inventory-related challenges on the production floor to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Support smooth movement of materials between production, storage, and distribution areas.
Receiving & Material Handling
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, documentation, quantities, and lot information.
- Properly label, track, and store materials to maintain full traceability.
- Maintain organized, compliant, and efficient storage locations.
- Ensure all inventory is handled according to established procedures and quality standards.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Follow all company, quality assurance, GMP, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Adhere to inventory standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces.
- Contribute ideas and support initiatives that improve inventory processes, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For: Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related role.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience using inventory management, ERP, or tracking systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of managing daily responsibilities independently.
- Comfortable working on the production floor and handling inventory materials throughout the day.
