Position Overview

We are seeking a high-signal Core Blockchain Engineer to design, scale, and maintain the underlying systems powering the Conduit Platform. In this deeply technical on-chain backend engineering track, you will take ownership of evolving our Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) Node solutions. This role is engineered for an infrastructure specialist who thrives at pushing the limits of execution layer performance, debugging intricate cross-stack networking anomalies, and integrating modern high-performance client abstractions to secure on-chain finance for the next decade.

Key Responsibilities

• EVM Node Architecture: Architect, refactor, and scale out the core EVM Node software instances underpinning our infrastructure deployment pipelines.
• Performance Engineering & Research: Benchmark and stress-test next-generation alternative execution architectures, exploring solutions like Reth to increase transactional velocity.
• Tooling Infrastructure: Construct, maintain, and upgrade state-of-the-art diagnostic tooling configurations to boost network reliability, maintainability, and consensus tracing.
• Full-Stack Production Debugging: Isolate and resolve complex system errors, memory leaks, and protocol networking bottlenecks across our distributed service modules.
• Engineering Governance: Actively participate in peer architectural design reviews, technical blueprint planning, developer mentoring, and code auditing workflows.
• On-Call Rotations: Maintain production-grade platform uptime targets by participating in the team’s scheduled engineering on-call rotation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Profound, expert-level architectural understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) runtime environment and its surrounding client node topologies.
• Direct production-grade experience manipulating Ethereum client internals, including custom EVM modifications, blockchain tracers, memory debuggers, and transaction explorers.
• Strong backend systems software engineering background with an emphasis on developing modular, performant production architectures.
• Familiarity with tooling patterns, execution boundaries, and RPC interaction frameworks utilized by developers on public EVM networks.
• Outstanding cross-functional troubleshooting skills, with a track record of isolating complex memory allocation defects and multi-tier network connectivity drop-offs.
• Location Context: 100% remote-first operational infrastructure flexibility open to qualified blockchain infrastructure engineers working Worldwide (Global Remote).

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Production experience writing and auditing systems software using Golang (Go) or Rust .
• Operational familiarity leveraging relational datastores or cloud storage layers including PostgreSQL, Redis, and Google Cloud Storage (GCS) .
• Prior experience shipping code inside highly agile DevOps environments with automated continuous deployment pipelines.
