You will support the Business Operations staff utilizing a variety of tools and policies available internally or externally to ensure accurate resolution of unit assignments. This position is headquartered in Sacramento County at 1601 Exposition Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95815. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquarters office subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. Travel expenses associated with commuting to the employee’s office headquarters location are not reimbursable, other than authorized transit subsidies.

Working Conditions

This position may be eligible for telework. In accordance with Government Code section 14200, only employees who reside in California are eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Covered California’s current telework policy. While Covered California supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.

  1. You will be working with multiple systems, including Microsoft Office products, SharePoint and other Job-Related Applications. Can you share your experience using Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook) and other business systems to organize and manage workload or projects? How do you ensure accuracy when working with multiple applications?

  2. This position requires interpreting and applying policies, laws, and regulations to resolve issues appropriately. It also involves creating or updating processing guides. Can you describe a time when you had to interpret complex policies or procedures to resolve a work issue or improve a process? What steps did you take, and what was the result?

  3. Effective communication is critical in this role, both in preparing written documentation and delivering verbal presentations or updates. Can you provide an example of a time when you had to communicate complex information, either verbally or in writing, to an audience or team? How did you ensure your message was clear and understood?

  4. Data collections, analysis, and reporting required
  5. Prior experience delivering professional verbal and written communication 
  6. Dependable and acts with professionalism
